california . . . part two

sorry josh.
as parker would say, "you're missing out on all the fun."

my tour de "california food" has begun. saturday was in n'out, monday was el palomar (home of the best steak fajitas ever), and today we enjoyed the tastiest tacos at turtle bay. sigh.
but enough about the food. that's not why i'm here . . .

so my new york friends don't get too jealous of the fun i'm supposed to be having in the sun, i want you all to know that it's been raining nonstop since we arrived. however, i would take 50+ degree rainy weather than 12 degree snowy weather anyday!

yesterday we went to the aquarium, a longtime favorite and a first on our california to-do list. it was packed due to the holiday, so we will be returning one more time later this week . . .
today was another favorite, my museum. it's a children's museum in monterey and they recently relocated to a much better facility. (jordan, you would love it. it's right up your alley.)
here we are enjoying pretend food with nana.
and of course, parker's favorite thing was the stage. what? parker?
after a delicious lunch at turtle bay we drove the scenic route home through pacific grove and asilomar. it was rainy and stormy so everything was grey and choppy, which is one of the best ways to see such scenery.

Robin- I think I need a little hit of the beach. Gray and stormy is exactly how I like it! So jealous!

I think what Jamie said hits it on the head for me too. Well minus the family of course. I actually had a dream last night that I missed CA. That was wierd.
