i have the raddest husband who let me relax all afternoon (seriously, from 1:30-5:00) by myself in my room reading, surfing the web, and falling asleep. i could hear the fun, the talking, the crying . . . but i didn't have to do anything about it. nice.
last week, josh's sister jamie pointed out how clean our kids' car seats are. i got to thinking . . . they are clean! my kids are clean! their clothes are stain-free! macy hates having anything on her face or her hands (which has more to do with her sensory issues, but still . . .) and she puts all her toys away after playing with them. also, parker says things like, "i never want to go through mud with my cupcake shoes on." ah . . . music to my ears.
my pregnancies are easy. now, i know i'm lucky when it comes to this. and for those of you who maybe aren't so lucky in this area, don't be hatin'. maybe you get sick, but i get really fat and can't brush my teeth without gagging. so there.
josh and i, for the most part, are unaffected by the economy crisis. we're nicely tucked away in grad school with no mortgage payments and no jobs. we also have no money, but that's neither here nor there . . .
i have very healthy kids (knock on wood). except for two or three trips to the doctor for ear infections, we've pretty much sidestepped all the normal kid health issues. no vomiting, no fevers. . . not a lot of church missed.
i look good in all the ugly colors. puke green, diarrhea brown, mustardy yellow. all the colors that everyone wishes they could wear when fall season comes. what can i say? i'm an autumn. through and through.
parker eats her vegetables. she loves v-8 juice and eating salads like her mommy. if you ask her, she says her favorite food is brown rice. what? brown rice? v-8 juice? i don't even like v-8 juice. she's such a good eater. and oliver was excitedly eating broccoli today. could i be so lucky? another good eater?
the sound of sports on t.v. is one of my least favorite sounds ever. that's just me. while taking my aforementioned break today, josh watched what was maybe his third sporting event on t.v. since we've been married. i've never had to compete with a basketball game.
so. . . what kind of things make you lucky?

I MUST say truly I am just happy for you that you are so blessed, but one thing makes me slightly jealous - I wish my kids would indulge over a salad like your veggie lovers. It's a good day if Maggie eats her carrot(baby carrot that is).
you know what makes me lucky? having YOU as a friend. i just love you bobbin.
Robin I love reading your blog. You are just too much fun!
So what if when I'm pregnant I get REALLy fat, sick, AND gag when I brush my teeth? And with lucky pregnancy #3 the dreaded varicose veins!! Maybe you could be my surrogate whenever baby #4 comes along! ;)
