a little whining

yesterday macy said to me (and i'm paraphrasing here... macy-speak doesn't translate well into the written word), "remember when we lived in new york and we had a park in our backyard? remember when all we had to do was go outside and we were instantly in the fun zone? remember our friends? i miss our friends."

oh, you mean my own personal utopia? my sister wives experience, minus the husband-sharing?

yes, macy. i remember.

wah wah. now, robin... snap out of it.

it's really easy to wish for what you once had... but sometimes when you're in it you don't wish for it. hmmm complicated.

wah wah for me. i only got to hang out with your glorious-ness for a few months. I guess that's what happens when one of us had no kids and the other had 3 and we weren't in the same ward and I didn't live in winston and there was no shortage of amazing sisters wives. I really am SO glad we got to run together (so glad you got lost on one of our runs). And I'm so glad we spend 48 hours in a car together because now we are bonded for life:).

ps That family picture at the top left is darling.

Ithaca sure misses you (& your kids!)

PS don't feel too bad, it's seriously so cold here and there is very little playing outside....

Okay, so you have been living away from Ithaca for like 8 months or so right? Does the deep down ache for missing that place ever get less? I am only on month two and it is still there... And knowing how cold it is there right now doesn't matter really. Okay, maybe a little, but I know it is only temporary. Grrrrr. Living in Ithaca gets under your skin.... Those who have left should form a support group.
