today we did nothing. we stayed in our pajamas all day.
i got back into bed in the middle of the day and fell asleep. not in a "i'm so depressed" way (in case you were worried) but rather, in an "ah, this is SO nice" way.
parker and macy put on puppet shows, ollie perfected his kick.
the kids had marshmallows for snack and i had chocolate cake (because someone has to.)
josh fell asleep on parker's bed, after watching lots and lots and lots of parker's puppet shows (which strangely involved no puppets), in her homemade cardboard-box puppet theater.
i checked my email, checked blogs, checked facebook. a lot.
monday, this will all be no more.
josh begins his last semester of grad school on monday after a five week break. five weeks of heaven. right josh? right? and in those five weeks i've grown accustomed to having him around (gasp!) and have taken many a midday snooze.
monday means back to the schedule (which i love), and there are no deviations:
monday= wegmans . . . the celestial kingdom of grocery stores
tuesday= target . . . whether i need anything or not
wednesday= laundry day
thursday= play group/any other errands
friday= work in macy's preschool/nothing/doctor day
it might be hard getting back into our routine. i've gotten lazy.
wish us luck . . .
(the above picture is not a true representation of today. of course it's not! oliver's not in his jam-jams! i just thought the overall feeling of the picture felt right . . . am i right?)

that sounds like a great schedule. and please don't talk about target. i can't tell you how much i miss my mindless trips there. somehow i always found something that i needed.
and btw, i'm coming back to the states in the summer and spending time on the east coast. we have to get together.
i love it. i did nothing at all today. stayed in my pj's as well. are we family or what? it's one in the morning right now and wearing the exact same thing from when i woke up this morning at ten.
What happens on Saturday and Sunday? Also, you should try P&C Foods sometime. I'd like to know what "kingdom" you classify it as.
July 8-10th, yes. FR for the fam. That means Family Reunion time. Maybe we should have a pajama day while you all are here? Absolutely adorable, squishy face picture of the Ol. Love Dad
i'm feeling ya. gary, after almost 1 month of no work started last week. he went to atlanta for the week and i got sick kids. lovely.
and wegmans is definitely the celestial grocery store. i miss that place...
I love days like that. WHich today I am doing that same thing...in my pj's thinking about taking a nap while the kids do. And wait for the flash floods to pass us. ha
i really like it when josh is home too, because you have full, 24 hour access to the laptop. you comment on my blog at unexpected times {as opposed to the "when josh gets home from school" thang.}
ivy league higher education is so overrated.
Hi, I just discovered this blog, Hilarious quotes from kids are universal I'm finding out. Your kids are ace and you're a cool and very pretty momma.
