i know you were just thinking, "gee, wouldn't it be fun if i checked robin's blog and she'd posted pictures of previous halloweens, just for fun?" i had that same thought. so, here's a trip down memory lane . . .
first up . . . peter pan and captain hook. in 2003 (our first married halloween) i was finally able to fulfill my lifetime desire to be peter pan for halloween. due to our close relationship with ariel theatrical, josh and i were able to score some pretty sweet costumes. josh wore his to work and won the office costume contest and brought home a check for $75 which i promptly spent at the antique mall.
2004.

2005.
i'm pregnant with macy here, so no rude comments. i loved parker's costume that year. a poodle skirt. pigtails. a scarf. adorable.
2006.
this picture is one of my all-time favorite pictures of macy. her first halloween.
us trick-or-treating at my parents' house. we're such big moochers.
and ah, the cheerleading picture. classic. i got josh to dress up in my old cheerleading uniforms with me (improvised for modesty purposes!) for laurie and jared's halloween party that year. we were a big hit. i mean, who doesn't want to see josh in spandex and a cheerleading uniform?
2007.
parker went again as a sock-hop girl, but in her mind, she was ariel. she had her mind set on being ariel that year but we found this great costume in grammy's collection, and she decided that it would do. so we went with it. "yes parker, you're ariel."
macy was sick. but what a cute little sick ladybug she made.
halloween that year was a month after josh lost his job, so we played it up. we went as bums to laurie and jared's halloween party. i was pregnant with oliver and my sign said, "husband out of work. two kids with one on the way. anything will help." josh's sign said, "unemployed. will work for food. god bless."
josh didn't shave for a week especially for this.
2008.

That really was so fun! Thanks for sharing. I tend to be a sucker for anything halloween! My favorite...the bum outfits followed closely by Josh as a cheerleader!!

That's such a fun flash back. You guys have had some great costumes. I didn't see you pull any out this year though. When Maci did wear wig, she was a very good raggedy-Ann.
