oh, macy

today macy asked me a question and i did not know the answer...

macy: "why don't you know? don't moms know everything?"
me: "we know a lot, but not everything."
macy: "maybe you should go back to college and you can learn those things and become a proper adult."

i probably should, macy.  i probably should.

besides giving helpful education advice, macy learned how to ride a bike!  it was truly exciting to watch her conquer this new skill. i picked up this bike at goodwill and the next afternoon josh took her out and BAM!  she had it!  elbow pads and all.

also, she gave her first talk in primary WITHOUT ANY HELP.  (things like this are truly amazing, because remember?)  <----watch that video.

i am a proud mom.
i may not know anything, but i am proud...

Macy has come a long way hasn't she? Her wonderful speech therapists have helped a lot. And wonderful parents.

I'm curious to know what you didn't know the answer to.

I sure do love our Macy Joy.

What's the fun in being a proper adult?!?

Congratulations to Macy on the bike riding and the talk in Primary. She's awesome!

I'm commenting on your blog because when I told you how much I liked this post, IN PERSON, you said you would rather have a comment. So here it is, even if your settings make me type in two words that I can hardly read to verify that I'm a person and not a machine. I hope you like this comment as much as I liked your post about Macy, who I love. ...I love you too.

SO proud. That macy. Maybe she is your Simon? What an absolute doll. My 6 year old definitely doesn't own a bike yet (oh the shame) in my defense we have like 2 months of bike riding weather anyway;)
