it started out rough. i was scared of her outgoing ways. i inadvertently tossed a bowling bowl on her foot. she was friends with ALL the boys. but when she moved into the shanty, we discovered we were kindred spirits and formed an everlasting friendship. (aww!)
it's hard to believe that it's been so long since we lived together and shared the same thermostat and refrigerator, swapping clothes, and asking to use her computer (the only one in the house with internet!)
everything about aubry's visit last week was great. we drank our weight in diet coke and ate a lot and shopped a lot... which is pretty much heaven for the two of us. there was even a terrific encounter with a gay waiter that adored us (because we really are funny together and like to make a scene) which resulted in an awkward kiss kiss moment and complimentary champagne.

we've been apart more than we have been together, but our friendship remains the same... just as awesome as ever.
(come back soon, aubry! and maybe next time we'll go to the beach? meh, probably not. not when there's three anthropologies in the vicinity to peruse!)

la la la! it was theBEST week. all caps, best ever. the shanty is a force to be reckoned with, all these years later. spreading ourselves across the nation is just a good excuse for free-lodging vacations.

I want to be your friend in real life. Hopefully we'll head over to Florida before we leave this side of the country and I am going to make this real life friends thing happen. But you have to promise that you are as funny and fun as you are on your blog. :)
