happy presidents day... whatever

how did josh's innocent "i'm going to rearrange a few things in the garage" turn into a complete mess of sorting, organizing, and purging bins and bags of the kids' clothes?

ps: we're going to potty train ollie soon. like next week. any hints, tips, tricks, or magic spells are appreciated. potty training a boy seems like a whole different ball game...

Good luck! (with the potty training *and* the sorting)

Potty training Dexter was about a million times easier and faster than with the girls. The girls, well... let's just say Jay always calls potty training our eldest "the worst 3 years of my life." Dexter was easy-peasy ... I don't know if it's because we waited until he showed a ton of interest, or if it's because he's a boy and he naturally wants to aim at things.

Sorry my typing was horrible in the last one. Stupid phone typing. Anyways, Aiden was pretty easy because he saw his friends interested. Also getting dad involved made it fun for him.

as for the mess, it looks JUST like when i clean a room. 'cept there's more fabric than clothes.

The way we potty trained Eli worked pretty well, but it might not work well for Ollie because he's much older than Eli was. I've heard of a lot of people that have great success in a potty training day. They throw a big fuss and have a party for the child. There are a lot of snacks and drinks for that day. I don't know all of the techniques for doing it that way, but there is a book about it "Toilet Training in Less Than a Day." It also helped with Eli to have a naked day. You might have to try that one when Josh can take the girls somewhere for the day. I think it just made it easier for him to tell when he needed to go to the bathroom. Good luck!

So, I guess it's safe to say that Josh's day off was not very fun...LOL! Gotta love men and their cleaning moods! As for potty training, I have no clue! I have heard the 3 days method is great and works well--a couple of my friends have done it. Google it! Good luck!

I think potty training has a lot to do with the personality of the child. Plus, with the 2 of my boys I've potty trained so far, each had a "breakthrough moment". For instance, Evan's was when Dad taught him to pee standing up. So, pray that "ah ha" moment comes sooner rather than later is my advice :) good luck!

I had to read all the comments about potty training too. I am planning on training Grayson March 1. I had to set myself a date that isn't right now but soon enough for me to psych myself up for it. I did read that book about the one day potty training and am going to try that. Hope it works, Gray had no interest in being potty trained.

If Adam approached me with a garage organizing proposition, i would pee my pants on the spot. Have you ever heard of "porn for women"....that would be mine :)
