jack bauer for president

lost. 24. our most favorite two shows. they are no more. and you think they could have spaced these two finales apart a little more to spare my breaking heart a little... because we all know i don't do well with series finales.

it's all the memories tied in with those shows that are so hard to say goodbye to. when josh and i started watching both shows, we were living in a one-bedroom flat and we borrowed my parents' 10-inch tv and we had to watch with the caps on because parker was asleep in our room (but we couldn't shut the door all the way because it was so noisy) and macy was asleep in her pack-n-play in the living room. that's dedication to a show i tell you.

we got into lost when the second season was airing. we watched season one when macy was a baby and i was nursing all day and night. and then we had to wait until the second season ended and came out on dvd to see what was in the hatch...

we started watching 24 when the fourth season was airing. we watched the first three seasons on dvd while simultaneously watching season four on tv. it got confusing... but what good times. we would stay up till 3 in the morning watching "just one more episode"...

anyway, it's been fun. it's crazy how attached you get to people who aren't real. but at least we'll always have a son named sawyer to remind us of the hours we spent watching our favorite island castaways.

not that we named him after the show.

well, at least not consciously...

robin, only you can make watching so much tv seem cool.

I know you know I identify with your feelings on LOST. So sad to see it go. Not just for the show, but for the memories. Amen!
