we love the wicked soundtrack.
ever since the first time i played the cd in the car, the girls haven't let me listen to much else. macy says, "i want my song", which is basically the entire soundtrack, and parker constantly tells me if it's the green witch or the pink witch singing. the girls and i love it. (well, so does josh. don't let him tell you otherwise. he totally listens to it when he's by himself. he's even youtubed "popular", mostly because of his love for kristin chenowith which goes way back to when she did those old navy commercials. he'll deny it, but it's true . . . anyway, i digress . . .)
the first time parker heard my favorite song "the wizard and i", i could tell that she was really loving it, and i admit, it made my broadway-loving heart melt. i actually choked up and had to fight back the tears. (i'm pregnant, okay? so that explains that.) i literally had a "moment" picturing her growing up and following her dream and singing on stage. not that it's her dream, but right then it was, dang it.
and, maybe, just maybe sometimes when we're driving i pretend i have an awesome voice and really belt it out. that is, until parker and macy tell me not to sing anymore.
oh well, a girl can dream . . .
post-edit: i forgot to mention how i love that a little irony doesn't get past parker. when elphaba sings, "i'd be so happy i could melt", parker says, "and she does melt." i love it. she's a genius.

you could sing the pants off kristin any day of the week. i haven't heard you sing, but you have great bone structure and i've no doubt the broadway lights would hit those cheekbones of yours in all the right ways.
It's in the genes, princess. Who's to say that someday little Parker will be on stage singing her heart out. Nice Post. Love Dad
me & emmy + wicked = true love 4-ever
and she never tells me to stop. yet. and oh we belt it out too. i love it. she loves it. so we're perfect together, born to be forever...
yeah, picture me in the car pool line, waiting to pick up emmy and i am singing about "unadulterated loathing" - with feeling. and i KNOW the other moms are secretly admiring my ...strong lungs.
travis loves the wicked soundtrack, so you'd basically love him :)
all i want to do is see that darn show on stage! ugh. it seems like too much to ask these days!
is it completely crazy that i've never NEVER never ever heard an ounce of the wicked soundtrack? not ever?
how big is the rock i've been hiding under?
