do register for a half marathon before knowing you're pregnant.
don't think you're going to be able to train during the first month(s) of pregnancy.
do start training as soon as you feel like you can get off the couch without throwing up.
don't start where you should be in training. just start with two miles. and maybe never more than that.
do train with another friend who is pregnant. (holla brooke! both of us are due february 25.)
don't be surprised when both of you are outrun by your un-pregnant (or are they?) friends. (way to go kelli and jordan! and thanks for bringing us our flip-flops as we staggered across the finish line.)
do go to the bathroom before the race.
don't be surprised when you have to go the bathroom after the first half-mile. and again after the third mile. and again after the fifth mile . . .
do stretch before starting the race.
don't be surprised when your legs completely give out on you due to lack of training.
do be surprised if you run 10 out of the 13.1 miles.
don't yell "i'm doing better than i expected!" when there's literally no one behind you in the race.
do be proud of yourself and think you're pretty cool.
don't take pictures of yourself after the race. you'll just delete them.
but here's one before the race. kelli, brooke, me, jordan.

I'm so proud of you! You did it!
Love the picture. You all are so beautiful.
Holy Cow! You did rock it. And running 10 out of 13.1 miles...amazing. Wish I could have been there.
I realized after you guys called I was wearing the same shirt I wore when we were in NYC. Coincidence? I think not.
Um, if that's what you look like pregnant with your 4th, then we simply cannot be friends anymore. I'm sorry. When I was pregnant with #4 (and #1-#3), I looked like a bloated walrus, even in the first trimester. And the only thing I ran to was either the bathroom or the fridge.
BUT, fantastic job on the marathon. You should be very proud of yourself!
go robin! perhaps the only way i would ever attempt a 1/2 marathon would be if it was in the hamptons.
you are tough even when you are ...wait for it "preggers!"
ROB that is freakin AWESOME. im so proud of you for sticking with it. you will be proud of this for a long long time. flip-flops great idea. hope you and your great fam are just fantastic.
Awesome! How many pregnant women can say they've even attempted something like that!
You keep up all this super woman stuff and labor will be a breeze this time around.
I'm really impressed. I pretty much got rid of exercising as soon as I found out I was pregnant (with # 4 and 5). I can't even imagine running 1 mile, let alone 10. I suppose that is why you look like a super model, and I looked, like...well not a super model.
DO consult with west coast friends when planning something so cool happens. despite the activity {running}... it's the hamptons... and said west coast friends may consider a trip out east.
DON'T live on the east coast when you have such cool friends in the west. for crying out loud, i miss you.
You ROCK!!! Way to go Robin. You are such an inspiration! But... not enough for me to register for one. :)
Way to go Princess. Love Dad
yayayayayayayayay! robin! that's what i would be saying the entire way.
i thought of you a lot when i was riding on saturday...i am so proud of you. i probably finished 7 hours after you.
way to go, rob! i can barely run 5 miles these days and i'm certainly not pregnant!
i agree with aubry . . . move back west, already! WE ALL MISS YOU!
