in celebration of the anticipation of my 100th post (this is actually my 94th, but i can't wait till 100), i'm having a giveaway!  leave a comment, and i will (with a very scientifically proven and accurate method) pick a winner!  actually, i'll probably just have josh pick a number and that corresponding commenter will win . . .

what's at stake here you ask?  three homemade christmas cards.  by me.  special . . . i know.

i used to be much better at card-making.  i used to devote much of my carefree life to painstakingly scissor-cutting out individual letters or entire cursive words.  but then i had kids. now i use stamps.  that's just what happens.

this is actually just an experiment to see how many friends i have.  if no one comments, then i'll know the truth.

so . . . leave a comment by the deadline (sunday night) and they could be yours!

I would SO love to win the Robin handmade specials. I would hope that nobody else comments so my chances are high, but you might be kinda sad. I'll just count on my being lucky commentor #3.

I think it was about 2 weeks ago, I was having a bad day. As I was feeling sorry for myself and thinking nothing could brighten my dark mood, I remembered ladleoflove.blogspot.com! As soon as I began reading Parker quotes the clouds parted. I couldn't stop laughing. Now I check every couple of days to see if there's anything new. What can I say? You brighten my day, Robin (and family). So... do I get a card or what?

I'm glad you're keeping up your craft, even if you had to tone it down a little. I love and keep all my homemade cards you've made me. These (if I win) will be sent out to my most deserving friends. I love that green chair too.

Yes, I check your blog and would love to have your cards!! They look particularly festive in front of your green chair. Thanks for the hot cocoa today, it was great!

dearest robin,

you KNOW i'm your biggest fan. i read your blog every day right before i light the candles in front of a picture of us. and then i read it again. when stuck in traffic, i pull out a notebook i always keep in my bag and work on memorizing one of the parker quotes. 'member those brown flip flops i stole from you back in our roommate days? i still wear them all the time. this comment should become a full blown post in my own blog. would that win over your heart?

love, your ever-faithful-even-though-you-never-answer-the-phone-when-i-call

Do I have a chance at winning one of these cards, or would there be a conflict of interest if I entered the competition? Robin does make great cards. She certainly has a gift that I know I don't have.

Okay, my conscience is telling me that I need to back out of the competition. I'm out, but good luck to everyone else.
