let's break it down

last month parker ran a one-mile race and won first place for her age group.  she was super excited about it and loves to wear her running clothes.

unbeknownst to me, parker and two of her friends made up a song about the water cycle.  it wasn't even an assignment.  (she gets her overachieving-ness from me. definitely.)  i received a glowing email from her teacher about how great the song was and how the girls performed it for the class, as well as a few other times for other classes.  this video is parker and her friend, olivia, performing said song.  it has some major ke$ha influences... that did not come from me. watch for the breakdown.  "i'm talking rain, hail, sleet, and snow, snow..."

alas, macy's short-lived phase of growing out her hair is over!  she came home one day and told me her friend had cut her hair and could she please have short hair again.  the appointment was made within one minute.  she is cute no matter what and her longer hair was fine, but the short hair is just so macy.  also, she reads now and *likes* artichokes.  say what?

whenever we drive by the canals by where we live, i like to say, "oliver, look for iguanas!"  he hates it and he gets so mad.  so i do it a lot.  because it's funny.  also he's really good in his karate class and i think he's a genius.  in other oliver news, he's kind of a mama's boy and i kind of love it.  the kid has me where he wants me and he knows it.

sawyer doesn't have a lot to say, but he's talking more and more which is basically a christmas miracle.  our  favorite thing to do is make him say that he loves mommy.  besides his love for me, his love for his cars is as strong as ever.  he sleeps, eats, and dreams about cars.  fun fact: he freaks out about motorcycles.  or as he yells out when he sees them, "umbugubugga!"

and just because i love to throw in a picture of me looking like a hula-hooping gorilla (recycled instagram joke), this picture was the result of this year's mother's day photo shoot.  it just says so much.

and just so he doesn't feel left out of this post, that apparently has no end, here is josh taking a nap on mother's day.

and lest you think he's lazy, here's a picture of him being un-lazy after finishing a triathlon. so... give him some credit.

let's close out this post with a picture of me, looking slightly less simian, with aubry and marci from my visit to the midwest in april...

the end.

Go Parker! That rocked!

Your kids are rad. I know babies are cute and stuff, but I really can't wait for the little fetus to grow big and then fetch me diet coke with ice and stuff. Yes. I just publicly admitted that I want kids for child labor. Sue me.

Hooray for the rain cycle video! Morgan and I STILL sing it to each other because it was just that good! Favorite part about your mothers day photo...Parker's "peace dude" sign. And how come your kids pose so well when it is a "Dad and Kids" photo op? Josh is a triathlete...so that makes him basically a superhero. Oh my that Sawyer is a heartbreaker! And will you please come back to my house? Bring Aubry and your babies too!

and sometimes i still sing parker's weather rap.

and all of this makes me want to fast forward to july 11... when you can teach me how to properly wear a head scarf.

that demon child oliver stole my heart, too. i think it was the rain boots that won me over. not to mention how fast he can "hit the deck!!" and he doesn't cheat at it, like that lazy sophia. he is the best 4-year-old karate star i've ever seen (i've only seen 5 of them, though.)

macy's short hair matches her british accent.

yea, parker!!

also, please make a face at sawyer from me.
