when we moved to florida, everyone told us, "friends will come out of the woodwork! everyone is going to visit!"
and we are all about that.
we had visitors every month from october till may. and then the summer started and the visitors stopped. and i don't blame you. i don't want to be in florida right now either.
but we are ready to fill our calendar up again! we will be kicking off our season of visitors on wednesday with a visit from my mom. (hallelujah!) ... brooke will be coming the end of september, followed (and overlapping) a visit from aubry in october. (i can't wait!) ... november will (hopefully) bring brooke back, plus her family, for thanksgiving. (right, brooke? right?)
so that's where we stand. we are now accepting visitors for mid-october thru mid-november, and december and beyond. we're not fancy, but we have a spare room, a pac n' play, and lots of grammy-made quilts.
and no, we have never had an alligator in our backyard.

I do not think I have ever been the first comment. So I need to make it good. I will come to Florida when I force girl baby into the Disney machine (around 2 or 3 years old I think...). She will work long hours singing and dancing for the Disney Channel so that I can wear linen pants, bright shirts, and over sized Dior sunglasses. We will come visit you then. But we are pretty high maintenance.....we are going to need a humidifier and a dance room. Let me know when those are ready.
When we first told people we were moving to the Caribbean, we had at least thirty people promise visits. Then no one actually did.
It had more to do with the third world, non-touristy, single-beach island that we moved to than us...I think :\
don't tease me.
i might come-a-knockin come january when i will have S.A.D and forget what the sun, blue skies, and warmth feels like.

You are so cute and I'm sure you are the best hostess in all of Florida! If I ever make it out there again I will come visit for sure! (We loved Florida - Matt will be there this week for a cruise I will have him wave to you from the boat (wink))
TO DO LIST
1) find gainful employment
2) visit bum in florida
first things first, robn.
maybe florida should be my spring break destination.
i was just telling a friend today (about not wanting to spend $300 on a tv), that i'd much rather spend that money on a plane ticket to miami. i said that! i mean, i know you're not in miami...but whoa. close enough, right? it was like an impulse...my natural reaction...
hmmmm.
right! i am already starting to dream about the thanksgiving menu and the children solidifying bff for life bonds and what have you, josh and brady off on a bike ride......heaven.
i also had a 'moment' of excitement yesterday thinking that the 3 of us (aubry, you, me) might be in miami in 3 weeks!
wahooo.
three weeeeeeeeks! i can hardly stand it. hardly stand it = i've been hoarding cash and i'm making a shopping list.... because a vacation calls for new outfits. duh. elastic waistbands only, though, because there is a shake shack in miami.
i mean...can we come visit? I feel like we would have had to be Ithaca friends for at least a few more month in Ithaca to have house guest rights;).
So you came up while we were visiting the Waltmans in San Fran. They are expecting a visit from you next time you make it to visit your fam in CA.
Hope your CUTE family is well!
come February I tell you what...
