sometimes four firemen and a police officer come to your rescue

this morning at the ymca, the boys got locked in the car while it was running. let's not bore ourselves with how (oliver), but it happened. and they were buckled in and ollie does not know how to let himself out.  anyway, the fire department was called.  there were three ymca employees, four firemen, and one police officer all there to witness my awesome-parenting moment.  plus, the car was below empty (i know i know) and i smelled "fresh from spin", and the firemen were hunks. (not that that matters, because i am married to a hunk, but it just makes the story that much better.)

they took my name and information and i'm pretty sure that means i have a record now.  go ahead, google me.  i will probably come up as "Bad, Stinky Mom".

you're living on the edge, robin. but were you wearing underwear?

does josh have enough muscles to be a hunk? i imagine hunks to be very bulky.

ps. googling to get pink floyd is CHEATING. but you won anyway.

ahhh!!! i feel like i have one of "those moments" at least twice a month.

i can remember a time frantically coaching lena to unlock the door for me from the inside with her and her infant brother inside. luckily she's crafty like that.

Oh my gosh you poor thing! I love how you are still funny about the whole thing. You could never be a bad and stinky mom!

Communikate suggested the next blogger retreat to be in the South! Let's plan it for 2012!

why not AAA or a locksmith?

oh that stinks, but definitely not a stinky mom! I suspect not AAA because you have to act super fast in these crazy hot states, no time to wait around with the temps.

Oliver and his antics have been the topic of some of your best posts. He is going to keep you and Josh on your toes for years to come. I wish you luck....

i'm glad that i wrote "would've" twice on previous comment. cute kate. real cute.

so it was running?! yikes. i hope you've trained your babes to open the car door now.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, but at least you got to check out some eye candy while this rather unfortunate thing was occurring right?!?! That's really all that matters. P.S you're an awesome Mom!

been there done that. at the gym, all stinky and everything. though i wasn't smart enough to call and get fire hunky firemen. i did get a super fast locksmith though. i'm serious, he was there in less than three minutes. ( i know rexburg isn't big, but seriously, i don't know how he did that.) plus, with a locksmith you don't get a record!!!!

glad everyone is ok and now i'm not in the "bad stinky mom club" by myself. (though, i think it's more like NORMAL stinky mom club.)

oh man, robin, that is stressful! i bet the firefighters deal with those calls all the time so you are not a bad mom. i can't vouch for the stinky, i'm sorry.

Everybody gets stinky, but not everyone can be so funny about it! You are going to have to be careful - your kids might not have much motivation to unlock the doors when the consequences are big red shiny trucks and lots of firemen:)

Don't feel bad...it's happened to all of us. Me however it has happened twice..with firemen and a car that was not running while it was 112 degrees outside. One time it was in our driveway and I was not going to call again...so Tom broke the window. Nice!

somehow I missed this post until now. there is an up side to oliver's unpredictable behavior (or maybe it's getting predictable at this point) - you always have new and original blog material. Really, you should thank him.
