at last, today was beach day.
this is what parker had been looking forward to the most, and the weather was perfect, so off we went to carmel beach . . . the world's prettiest beach, i'm sure of it.
parker was only slightly disappointed that it wasn't a "shovels and pails, sunscreen and towels, bathing suits and hats" beach trip, (that just doesn't seem right in the winter), but we had so much fun nonetheless. we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. . . it was gorgeous. as my dad would say, "it was really putting on a show!"

after playing at the beach, we hopped on highway 1 and drove up the peninsula to moss landing to one of our favorite seafood restaurants, phil's, another on my "must do" list. yeah, that hit the spot. you just don't get seafood like that anywhere. especially not in new york. (no offense new york.)

this kissing picture is awesome in so many ways . . .
the day ended with me going to the spa for a wonderful massage (a gift from josh, thanks josh!)
carmel beach, phil's, and a massage . . .
what a perfect day.
