. . . between macy's hoarding and oliver's latest obsession of stashing toys in various hiding places, it's a regular "squirrels in the winter" scene around here . . .
it's called "scatter hoarding". squirrels do it so that if their food is found, the entire year's supply wouldn't be lost. that's ollie for you. just a scatter-hoarding-squirrel boy.
oliver likes to pick up anything and everything and then put it in something. whatever container-type object he can find. his two favorites are the laundry hamper and the trash can. i find toys in the laundry when i'm putting clothes into the washing machine . . . and i have to check the trash to make sure i don't unintentionally throw any toys away.
and in the laundry
(i had just done the laundry . . . just f.y.i. in case you were wondering why my laundry hamper is so impeccable . . .)
i like to call this little video "caught in the act".

I remember having little squirrels living in my house years ago.....
Looks like something good is cooking on the stove.
Maybe Ollie is going to be a professional organizer some day...or maybe he's telling you he has too many toys...or maybe there's something to the squirrel notion. Reincarnation, maybe?
That is so funny, and exactly what Millie is doing right now. I really hope she didn't throw our camera in the garbage cause I have noticed her putting things in there lately.
