apple picking and picking pumpkins

today we felt like true east-coasters.  we went apple picking!  we took a beautiful drive out to a scenic farm and enjoyed a beautiful, crisp autumn day.  the apples were ginormous and we picked out awesome pumpkins too.
the kids loved it, and macy even attempted to bite into a couple apples.  parker, on the other hand, would eat even the tartest of apples. . . skin, stem, and seeds (just like her mom).

next on our agenda: homemade applesauce and apple pies.

(lots of pictures. what can i say?  it was one big photo op.)

Oh Robin! Now these pictures really make me miss the east! I love the fall back there! What a fun day you had! And I am glad Oliver didn't fall out of the car on his head! Parker is such a hoot!

Love the pictures. I can't believe Macy left that cute hat on her head. The family group shot is my favorite.
