the inside . . .

i'm finally ready to show pictures of the inside of our apartment.  it's coming along . . . my mom really helped.
first, here's the junkyard frames i bought, painted, and then attached wire and clips for pictures and kids' artwork.  i also framed fabric in one of them (actual fabric selection pending . . .)

one of the frames i left alone, hung on the wall and tacked the kids' pictures directly to the wall. (pictures by andi.)

here's the girls' room. . . note macy's new toddler bed.  for the first time in a long time, no one's in a pac n' play!

my mom got these vintage primary posters from our ward building a few years ago.  i used them in our pajaro st. place, and here they are resurrected, using perfect frames i found later at the same place as the other frames (hub's).

here's the crate i bought at hub's as parker's bedside table.

thanks for letting me show my stuff!  oliver's room and the kitchen to come . . .

can your mom come to my house next?? we've lived in our house almost 2 years and yours looks way more homey than mine (the not having hung up any pictures yet probably has something to do with that). lol. but really, you've inspired me, i want to go get my own crate for evan's room now!

p.s. everything in your house is color coordinated to perfection. it's incredible. even in the picture of mom with the girls on the bed: everything from Macy's binky to mom's lipstick and socks. it all meshes. incredible.

BAM! POW! you two are like batman & robin (but which one is which?) in the world of finding random things at thrift stores and making them work in your home.

holy decorating skills batman!

You all forget that I taught Robin everything she knows, especially about green snow!!!
Looks wonderful, Robin and family. We miss you as we do all the grandkids. Even having a dog has not helped me, but... oh well.
Bow Wow!!! Love Dad

Your house looks adorable. Come back to Salinas and re-do mine. I'm jealous you get to find new furniture! And Macy's bed is cute...has she been staying in it all night?
