while on byu-idaho campus last week, we had a very serendipitous encounter with oliver's namesake. we were walking along and there he was . . . oliver! the oliver that set me and josh up on that fateful blind date almost six years ago.
the meeting went very well. oliver (the baby) seemed to recognize that it was a special moment and stared respectfully at the big oliver as if in awe. it was touching.
so, thanks oliver . . . we owe you everything. the least we could do was name our first son after you.

gee, Oliver (both of them) looks as though he will never forget this significant, and possibly historic occasion. that's so fantastic that you got a shot of the two of them. i love it!
(does this mean i should feel obligated to name our next child 'robin'? i'll ask ammon what he thinks. robin daphne ehrisman...)
I did not know that was where the name Oliver came from. How fun and special!
I guess this bit of info slipped me since I was busy being a newlywed. And that equaled (for me at least) bad friend. Sorry.
That is so funny that you both met on a blind date like we did and the got married only days before we did. So cute.
It was fate! I'm glad lil' Oliver understood what an important moment that was. :) I miss you and wish Oliver and lil G could meet.
That is so cool! And oh my gosh Oliver is SO big-and adorable :). Oh and all 3 Twilight books in 1 week-that's great it :) I'll have to share that with Nick since he thinks I'm crazy obsessed! He just doesn't understand!
