Macy's 2!

okay, i'm blogging... here we go...

macy's birthday was saturday (march 29th). highlights included, but not limited to...

• ma and pa were here! (josh's parents... they also came for oliver's blessing.) and uncle craig too.


• our favorite hike in the redwoods in the santa cruz mountains. a family classic.


• yogurt pie. because macy would never in a million years eat real birthday cake. she didn't eat the yogurt pie either, but i had to try! everyone else loved it. nana even said, "that is the best dessert i've ever tasted!" and she's 80+ years old, so she's had a lot of experience with desserts! macy, you missed out.
  
• parker and macy fighting over the special birthday wands. macy's was pink, parker's was purple. and i even went over this over and over at michaels "would they fight over them more if they were the same color because they would never know whose it was, or would they fight over them more because one didn't want the purple or pink one?" well, note to self, always do the SAME color...


• macy NOT wanting to wear the princess/birthday girl crown. no big surprise here, but still, i had to try. everyone else liked wearing it though!


• aah, presents. macy loved opening them (parker too.) she'd open one and get so excited and want to play with it, but we'd put another present in front of her so she'd open it and get so excited and want to play with it, but we'd put another present in front of her...


• a princess dress!


• her birthday balloons. those were a big hit. she carried them around with her everywhere. they're the newest accessory!

she definitely knew it was a special day... now we just have to perfect that pesky skill of holding two fingers up instead of one!
